Dermatology & Aesthetics

The medical removal of bothersome, painful, or unsightly lesions.

aka. "Our Lumps & Bumps Clinic"

Did you know that the NHS will rarely perform minor surgery or dermatological procedures?

What is Dermatology & Aesthetics?

We’re able to offer a range of cosmetic, dermatological, and minor surgery procedures in our CQC-regulated medical treatment room with our specialist doctors.

Our team are available to remove non-cancerous lesions that unfortunately may not be able to be removed by the NHS.

With extensive training in both dermatological minor surgical procedures and aesthetic work, you can be confident you’ll receive the highest standard of attention and care.

Why you need Dermatology & Aesthetics?

Did you know that the NHS will rarely perform minor surgery or dermatological procedures?

This is due to the majority of lesions being “benign”, thus meaning that the NHS deems the surgery as cosmetic.

You may have a lump or bump that is causing you problems, like it regularly catching on items of clothing. Or it could be a lump or bump you would just like removed for personal reasons.

Before any surgical procedure is performed, you will have to book a “Surgical Consultation” appointment first in order for our doctor to assess the lesion – as you can imagine lesions can be difficult to identify sometimes.

How Dermatology & Aesthetics works?

We’re able to provide non-surgical options and minor surgical options for the removal of skin lesions, lumps and bumps such as:

  • Cryotherapy of Skin Tags & Warts
  • Skin Tag & Warts Dermatology
  • Seborrheic Keratosis
  • Benign Pigmented Lesion
  • Dermatofibroma
  • Epidermoid & Pilar Cysts
  • Lipomas

Our specialist will use a combination of techniques to remove the skin lesions, lumps and bumps including methods like: Cryotherapy (freezing the lump or bump off), Curettage and Cautery (injecting the treatment area with local anesthetic, scraping off the lesion and sealing the area), and lastly Excision (injecting the treatment area with local anesthetic, cutting the lesion out and stitching the area back together).

Skin Tag & Warts Dermatology

£300

Dependent upon the size and the location of the lesion, the more effective option may be performing very minor surgery to remove the lesion.

Warts – small, rough, and form lumps on the skin. They are often found on the feet, palms, knuckles and knees.

Skin Tags – often found around the neck, armpits, the groin, and around the bra-strap area. They are small and soft, and will hang from the skin.

N.B Multiple skin tag removal may incur additional costs due to time and/or histology costs.

Seborrheic Keratosis

from £315

These are non-cancerous lesions that develop as people age. Most commonly they are found on the back or chest and will be brown or black in appearance. The lesion will also look waxy, scaly and slightly raised.

Benign Pigmented Lesion

from £390

Pigmented lesions refer to lesions on the skin that are coloured either brown, black or blue. The colour depends on what is causing the pigmentation. They can appear either flat or raised and most commonly they will have existed since late childhood.

Dermatofibroma

from £390

Dermatofibromas are harmless skin lesions that are either skin coloured or slightly darker and originate from the deeper part of the skin called the dermis. They can often feel firm and rubbery.

Epidermoid & Pilar Cysts

from £390

These are often found on the head, neck, torso or genitals and they can vary in size from millimetres to inches. Most commonly they are painless, however they can become infected and irritated.

They will look like a small bump on the skin, which can either be skin-coloured, whitish or yellow in colour and may contain a white keratin substance (which is naturally produced by the skin cells).
