    About Mike

With a steadfast commitment to holistic care, Mike Cattermole provides tailored therapies that aim not simply to address immediate physical concerns but to enhance long-term health, mobility, and overall performance. By conducting comprehensive assessments of postural and movement patterns, Mike ensures he identifies and corrects muscular imbalances, creating bespoke treatments that prioritise both recovery and prevention.

As a specialist in pre- and post-event massage therapy for athletes, Mike helps clients optimise their physical readiness and recovery after intense competitions. His expertise extends to the treatment of muscle injuries such as strains, sprains, swelling, and bruising, offering effective care with attention to both physical and emotional well-being. His background as a Combat Medic in the British Army lends him additional insight into managing health, with experience in trauma, pre-hospital and primary care medicine during his service. Mike honed his expertise as a Physical Training Instructor with a focus on rehabilitation, while also mastering Manual Lymphatic Therapy techniques to support patients with post-surgical or medical conditions.

Mike's personal experience with injury recovery has shaped his empathetic approach to care. During intensive training, he overcame a debilitating hand injury, which reinforced his deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges injuries can present. This personal journey empowers him to guide his clients through their rehabilitation with empathy, expertise, and honest recommendations, including advising when further medical intervention might be necessary.

One of Mike’s most treasured professional accomplishments involved helping a wheelchair-bound elderly gentleman regain independence through therapy. Following seventeen weeks of dedicated care, the patient was able to lead an active lifestyle, a testament to Mike's commitment to his clients' success and quality of life.

Mike is highly qualified in Sports Massage Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Dry Needling, and Personal Training. He is currently broadening his expertise by pursuing a Level 5 qualification in Soft Tissue Therapy, ensuring his practice stays at the forefront of therapeutic advancements. As a fully licensed member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies (FHT), Mike delivers care rooted in professionalism, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to his clients' well-being.
